چکیده

Comparative studies of methods of reverse time migration (RTM) show that spectral methods for calculating the Laplacian impose the least stringent demands on discretization stepsize; thus with spectral methods, the grid reenements often required by other methods can be avoided. Implemented with absorbing boundary conditions , which are energy-tuned to give good absorption at the boundaries, these spectral methods can be used eeectively for migration, without suuering the problems of wraparound which have traditionally plagued them (Furumyra and Takenaka, 1995).

Acoustic 3D least-squares reverse time migration using the energy norm

We propose a least-squares reverse time migration (LSRTM) that uses a proper imaging condition to obtain faster convergence rates when compared with similar methods using conventional imaging conditions. The proposed modeling and migration operators use spatial and temporal derivatives that attenuate acquisition artifacts and deliver a better representation of the reflectivity and scattered wav...

A Variational Formulation of a Stabilized Unsplit Convolutional Perfectly Matched Layer for The Isotropic or Anisotropic Seismic Wave Equation

In the context of the numerical simulation of seismic wave propagation, the perfectly matched layer (PML) absorbing boundary condition has proven to be efficient to absorb surface waves as well as body waves with non grazing incidence. But unfortunately the classical discrete PML generates spurious modes traveling and growing along the absorbing layers in the case of waves impinging the boundar...

3D Gabor Based Hyperspectral Anomaly Detection

Hyperspectral anomaly detection is one of the main challenging topics in both military and civilian fields. The spectral information contained in a hyperspectral cube provides a high ability for anomaly detection. In addition, the costly spatial information of adjacent pixels such as texture can also improve the discrimination between anomalous targets and background. Most studies miss the wort...

3D acoustic least-squares reverse time migration using the energy norm

We have developed a least-squares reverse time migration (LSRTM) method that uses an energy-based imaging condition to obtain faster convergence rates when compared with similar methods based on conventional imaging conditions. To achieve our goal, we also define a linearized modeling operator that is the proper adjoint of the energy migration operator. Our modeling and migration operators use ...

3D Target-Oriented Reverse Time Datuming

Reverse time migration (RTM) is theoretically more accurate than traditional migration methods because it computes numerical solutions to the complete wave equation. But RTM is computationally expensive especially for 3D data. To overcome this expense, Luo amd Schuster (2004) suggested a bottom-up reverse time datuming (RTD) method that promised to significantly decrease the computational time ...
